“The Pool Genie” started in 1990 as a home business specializing in chemical analysis, water treatment and pool servicing.  In 1996 the business expanded to include maintenance of pool related equipment such as pumps, filters, valves, plumbing, chlorinators and electrical systems.

The operations covered the areas of  Umkomaas, Scottburgh, Pennington and Umzinto.  Growth continued steadily and the scope of services grew to include paving, fiberglass lining, tiling and marble plastering.  Pool renovations and major repairs became a specialty, alongside pool servicing and water chemistry. 

The repairs and maintenance included work on spas and ponds.  The growth continued and pool, spa and pond construction commenced in 2000.  Construction has grown significantly to become the major part of the business today. In 2008 a new service was introduced – manufacturing of fiberglass rocks and water features. The manufacturing of fiberglass pre-fabricated pool shells commenced in February 2011 with the business structure changing into a CC.

The company now operates out of a large factory in Park Rynie on the Natal South Coast and supplies pre-fabricated pool shells throughout Natal as well as to an export market.

The construction, maintenance and service operations continue and projects have been undertaken as far a field as Johannesburg, Port Edward, Kokstad, Ixopo and Durban.

The full range of services offered includes;-

• Pool installation and pool construction in reinforced concrete – includes spas and ponds (Koi).
• Paving, minor works and retaining structures.
• Pool servicing, pool maintenance and renovations.
• Consulting, trouble shooting and report writing.
